Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Hilo, Hawaii. This position involves floating between various medical and surgical units, requiring flexibility and adaptability to different patient care settings. The role offers a dynamic environment with opportunities to work across several specialized units, providing critical nursing care to diverse patient populations.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts Days (0645 to 1915) Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Hawaii State nursing license; 2 to 10 years of nursing experience; BLS certification; ACLS certification (preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC).
• Additional Information: Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend employee health appointment on Friday. Candidates unable to meet this requirement should not accept the start date. Orientation time is provided for each unit.
• Units/Departments: Medical (77 beds); Laulima (Surgical Acute) (18 beds); Cardiovascular (15 beds; on rare occasions).
• Patient Ratios: Medical 1:6 for days and evenings, 1:8 for nights; Laulima 1:6; Cardiovascular 1:4. Ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves.
• Dress Code: Professional nursing attire clean scrubs.
• Floating Requirements: Floating to other units/departments including the Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit.
• Experience: No minimum experience required beyond the listed qualifications.
• Location: 1190 Waianuenue Avenue, Hilo, Hawaii, 96720.
