Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Acute Care position requiring a GA or compact RN license, at least 2 years of experience, and prior travel assignment experience.
Details
- Acute Care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting with 44 beds
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- Patient ratio of 1:5, occasionally 1:6 on both days and nights
- CNA support available, typically at a 1:8–1:10 ratio
- Telemetry is present on the unit but monitored by a separate unit
- Floating required to all acute care, cardiology (medical patients), and EC for acute care patient holds
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
- MEDITECH EMR used; experience preferred but not required
- 17-week assignment
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required, both must be AHA-issued
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration
Additional Information
- General orientation is approximately 1 week, including EMR training, followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation
- Caribbean blue scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (distance measured from the address on their driver's license) to be eligible for this position
- Candidates who have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Any time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment
- Albany, GA is a city of approximately 80,000 residents, located 175 miles from Atlanta, 88 miles from Tallahassee, FL, and about 134 miles from Shell Point Beach, FL
