Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) nurse position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing care to a diverse patient population across medical-surgical units. The position requires integration within hospital teams and adherence to clinical protocols. The assignment begins on 09/28/2026 and concludes on 12/28/2026, with shifts primarily scheduled for nights.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Iowa (IA) license or multistate license; active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; active American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; minimum 36 months of progressive care, stepdown, or medical-surgical experience; current drivers license; proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system EPIC; clinical experience in stepdown preferred; experience administering nitro, heparin, amiodarone including titrates required; neurology care experience preferred; oncology care experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Stepdown experience and neurology or oncology care background are desirable.
• Float: Will float between medical-surgical units and stepdown floors.
• Additional Information:
  • Call back: 1.5x multiplier with a 2-hour minimum
  • Holiday work required: 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) and winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) if the unit remains open
  • Call is not scheduled for this assignment
  • Submission requires clinical pre-screening with a phone call or text from a 405 area code
  • Orientation dates are 09/28 (urgent) and 10/05 (not preferred)
  • This position is suitable for candidates with at least 36 months of clinical progressive care, stepdown, or medical surgical experience.
