Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at an academic medical center requiring a KY or compact RN license and 1 year of experience.

Details

• , surgical unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Non-telemetry unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00-7:30
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
• Academic medical center experience preferred
• Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
• No active license disciplinary actions or hits permitted

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a busy medical surgical unit
• Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Returning permanent staff must have separated from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be disclosed prior to submission for consideration, as requests made after an offer will not be approved
