Job Summary
Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) located in Wichita, Kansas. This position involves providing patient care in a medical surgical unit with a focus on post-operative and acute care. The assignment offers a dynamic environment with the opportunity to work on a newly established unit, contributing to high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum 1-year current acute care hospital Med/Surg or Orthopedic experience, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, located within the United States
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with traction, spine, hip, and joint precautions, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Unit Information: Medical Surgical / Surgical Services / (616) floor, 34 beds, staffing of 50 team members including 1 Charge Nurse (CNC), 6 Registered Nurses (RNs), and 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTS) per shift, patient ratios of 6:1, equipped with traction equipment
• Typical Procedures: Total joint procedures, spine surgeries, and other orthopedic interventions
• Personality Fit: Outgoing, team player, compassionate
• Additional Information: The unit is brand-new, offering the latest technology and equipment, with experienced staff and flexible scheduling options
