Job Summary: Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical setting, ensuring safety and quality in patient care delivery. The position emphasizes assessment, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Active nursing license or certification; at least 1 year of travel nursing experience; 1+ years of level 1/Advanced Medical Certification (AMC) experience; familiarity with patient assessment, medication administration, vital monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams; ability to modify patient care plans based on individual responses; knowledge of medical terminology; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on a Medical Surgical Floor; prior travel experience; certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Additional Information: The nurse will be accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessing patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, and ensuring safety and competency in nursing service delivery. The role requires maintaining accurate documentation and working closely with the healthcare team to evaluate and modify patient treatment plans.
