Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) - Marquette, MI. This position involves providing comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients in a 225-bed specialty care hospital. Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, Bachelors degree, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing, Michigan residency or appropriate licensing, ability to work independently and in stressful situations
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience on a medical/surgical unit; BSN preferred
- Float: Occasional to like unit
- Additional Information: The role involves telemetry monitoring, IV administration, bladder scanning, and patient assessment for adult and geriatric populations, with patient ratios of approximately 5:1 to 6:1. The unit operates using Cerner electronic health records. Candidates must adhere to dress code and hygiene standards, covering tattoos and minimizing jewelry.
