Job Summary Medical Surgical Floor RN [Location] This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a Medical Surgical environment, practicing independently with an awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. The position requires delivering routine and complex care, developing long-term care plans, and managing contingencies in a fast-paced setting.
Job Details
Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 7AM to 7PM.
Required Qualifications: Valid RN License in the state of employment or a compact license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via American Heart Association, and at least 1 year of related nursing experience.
Responsibilities: Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families. Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitor effects, document patient information, and provide education to patients and caregivers. Make appropriate patient care assignments and delegations to other care providers to ensure optimal clinical management.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
On-Call and Rotation: On-call and weekend shifts are required, with 2 to 4 shifts per month, rotating among staff.
Float: Float rotation may be required to all Medical/Surgical departments under the guidance of the assigned charge nurse.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to start on or before 11/01/2026, with an end date of 01/30/2027.
