Job Summary Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Night Shift Located in a healthcare facility, this position involves providing high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations. The role requires strong clinical skills in a fast-paced environment, with duties centered around patient assessment, treatment, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Job Details
Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS; minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience; valid drivers license; experience with EPIC electronic medical record system; experience with travel assignments.
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Providing nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including those with conditions such as stroke, CHF, pneumonia, and post-surgical recovery. Managing patient assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Floating to assist other units as needed.
Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required. ACLS and PALS are recommended but not mandatory.
Additional Information: Unit notes include a focus on patient needs such as CPAP and BiPAP management, and adherence to nurse-patient ratios of no more than 5. Orientation includes 3-5 days on-site, with unit-specific training and policy review. Floating to other units is required.
