Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) nurse position in a healthcare facility located in the region. The role involves floating across all medical/surgical units within the organization, providing essential patient care on 12-hour night shifts. The assignment is designed to support staffing needs across multiple facilities, with an emphasis on resilience, adaptability, and proficient clinical skills.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, starting at 5:30 pm. Minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification. Minimum of 3+ years of nursing experience, with at least 2+ years in Medical/Surgical (MS) nursing and one previous travel contract preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Float: Will float throughout all Medical/Surgical units at the healthcare facility and may float to other locations as needed, primarily within the specified facilities.
• Additional Information:
  • The position involves working on the 5th floor (cardiac) and neuro units, with assignments based on skill set.
  • Candidate must be comfortable with charting in EPIC software within the last year.
  • Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:6, with RN paired with support staff based on acuity.
  • Scrub color: Black.
  • No on-call or callback requirements.
  • Holiday rotation as needed.
  • The role begins on 10/12/2026 and ends on 01/09/2027, with a 13-week contract duration.
  • The person selected must be a hard worker, resilient, and able to manage change effectively.
  • Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
  • The assignment involves duties within the scope of medical and surgical patient care, including trauma, oncology, renal, stroke, post-procedure care, and rare pediatric cases.
