Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience with stroke stepdown experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required or obtainable prior to start
• Resume demonstrating relevant clinical experience and specialty skills
• Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
• Ability to work in a fast-paced adult inpatient care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with stroke, altered mental status, renal, dialysis, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, and other medical-surgical conditions
• Monitor and manage patients in a stroke stepdown environment
• Support care for patients requiring isolation and general med/surg interventions
• Perform nursing care using specialty equipment such as IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
• Float as needed within the unit or related areas
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols
