Job Summary Medical Surgical Floor Nurse, located in the area, will provide patient care on a Medical Surgical (MS) specialty unit within a health care facility. The role involves floating within multiple units, including general Medical Surgical and pediatric patient populations, adhering to facility protocols and ensuring quality patient outcomes.
Job Details
Orientation Date: 11/16, 11/30, 12/7, 12/14 only (No orientation the week of 11/23)
Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor
Schedule: 12-hour days, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Current license in the state or with a compact license, BLS Basic Life Support, minimum of 2 years of experience and prior travel experience in a similar setting, experience with Cerner electronic medical record system, and experience working in a Med/Surg Float Pool environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience, strong nursing skills in general medical-surgical care, ability to float within multiple units including pediatric and general Med/Surg, and navy scrubs.
Additional Information: Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience, valid Tennessee license or a compact license on file at the time of submission, and the ability to float within five Med/Surg units as needed. Scrubs navy are required. The unit makes its own schedule.
