Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor nurse position in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role involves working night shifts on a high-acuity medical-surgical unit within a teaching facility. The facility primarily serves adult and geriatric patients with a patient ratio of approximately 1:5-6. Candidates must have recent hospital acute Med/Surg experience, strong IV skills, and hold relevant certifications. The assignment begins on 08/17/2026 and requires flexibility to float to different units as needed.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of recent hospital acute Med-Surg experience, active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, Epic electronic medical record experience within the last year, and valid license to submit.
- Preferred Qualifications: Teaching facility experience highly preferred, strong IV skills, and prior experience in Med/Surg/Tele or Orthopedics/Surgery units.
- Float: First to float and must be willing to float to Tele, Stepdown, ICU, or other units as assigned.
- Additional Information: Call-off policy allows one shift every 14 days per OSU pay period. Orientation includes 8 hours of non-billable training with modules prior to the first day. Shift coverage includes holidays based on needs, with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. Applicants must include units, hospital size, trauma level, EMR used, patient types/duties, and float areas in work history.
