Job Summary
A Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse is needed for a 12-hour shift position at a healthcare facility. The role involves providing care to medical and post-operative/surgical patients, with responsibilities including clinical supervision, break relief, and floating as needed. The position requires experience in the specialty and prior travel experience to ensure smooth operation and patient care.

Job Details

• Position Description: Unit Med Surg beds, 30 beds. Must have previous travel experience. Charge Nurse clinical supervision, break relief, and no patient assignment during shift. Nurse Aides available: 2 on days and 1 on nights.
• Required Qualifications: BLS certification, COVID vaccine certification, minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty, applicable license to submit, and experience with Cerner electronic medical records.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Includes EOW (every other week) and requires working 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. Holidays may be worked on a rotation basis.
• Additional Information: Floating to telemetry with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio; float between med-surg floors is possible. Orientation includes 1 shift on the unit. Must be a team player with strong clinical skills.
• Certifications: BLS, COVID vaccine.
• Experience: Must have 2-3 years of experience in the specialty.
