Job Summary
The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position is based on the Medical Surgical floor at a healthcare facility located in Hermiston, Oregon. This role involves providing direct, individualized nursing care to adult patients undergoing surgical procedures. The RN will assess patient conditions, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position operates during daytime shifts, requiring quick adaptability and strong clinical skills.
Job Details
- Position: Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Hermiston, Oregon
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Evidence of continuing education appropriate for skill level and area of practice
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) certification
- Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- CRASE training (if assignment extends beyond 6 months)
- Additional Information:
- The role involves performing general nursing duties across all departments under appropriate supervision.
- Recognizes patient rights and responsibilities, maintains confidentiality, and demonstrates compassion.
- Supports the hospitals mission, vision, and policies.
- Participates in required education related to DNV accreditation standards.
- Agency nurses may be floated to other departments where qualified.
