Job Summary
Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse in a healthcare facility setting specializing in oncology, hematology, nephrology, endocrine, gastrointestinal, dermatology, and general medicine. The role involves providing patient care on a 56-bed unit with a focus on common diagnosis such as cancer, kidney failure, diabetes, and gastrointestinal issues, among others. This position requires flexibility in floating to other units as needed.

Job Details

• Location: Healthcare facility setting.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active New York State Registered Nurse license, current American Heart Association Basic Life Support, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale, and chemotherapy certification. Up-to-date resume demonstrating 2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical or Oncology nursing, with documented travel experience. Valid driver's license matching the current address. EMR experience with EPIC.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in oncology and hematology units.
• Additional Information: The unit handles patients with cancer diagnoses, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, skin conditions, and general medical cases. Requires float rotation. The unit uses IV pumps, NG tubes, chest tubes, and specialty beds (sand beds). Patient age range from 18 years and older. The facility has 56 beds. Submission must include a NURSYS license verification with active RN licenses and RTO details.
