Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical (MS) nurse position is available in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This role involves providing care on a 24-bed acute care unit with a patient ratio of 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 during the night. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of patient diagnoses, including respiratory issues, infections, wounds, diabetic management, gastrointestinal conditions, drug and alcohol withdrawal, and suicidal ideation.
Job Details:
- Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming
- Schedule: Days, shift hours from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/24/2026
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification; minimum of 1 year experience in acute care; Wyoming nursing license; ability to read own strips on telemetry; must be able to titrate insulin and heparin drips
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC charting system; familiarity with High Flow, BiPap, and Cpap equipment; experience on a Level 2 trauma unit
- Additional Information:
- Staff are scheduled for 3 shifts per week with options for self-scheduling and block scheduling
- Four weekend shifts required within a 4-week schedule, including Saturday or Sunday for day shifts and Friday or Saturday for night shifts
- Every other holiday required
- No call or standby requirements
- Can float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
- Up to 3 full orientation shifts available as needed
