Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse position is located in HERMISTON, Oregon. This role involves providing direct and individualized nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical floor setting. The nurse will assess patient conditions, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes. This position requires quick adaptation to changing conditions and adherence to standardized nursing protocols.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current registered nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon; evidence of continuing education appropriate for skill level and area of practice; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN); Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN); previous medical-surgical nursing experience; CRASE training (if the travel assignment extends beyond 6 months).
- Additional Information: The position involves performing various nursing duties across different departments with the ability to recognize rights and responsibilities related to patient confidentiality; providing empathetic care to patients experiencing pain or trauma; working independently; and supporting the organizations mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.
