Job Summary:

Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Fargo, North Dakota. This position involves providing care to general medical-surgical patients within a 10-bed department. The role requires collaboration with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse will practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilize appropriate age-specific standards, and utilize equipment such as EMR-Epic, AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, and Telemetry. The shift consists of 12-hour rotating shifts with every other weekend and holiday commitments.

Job Details:

• Shift: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and holiday
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) experience
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ND or compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license, or willingness to obtain one
  • Recent travel experience showing completion in previous assignments (not first-time travelers) and must have worked within the last year
  • Experience working in a larger hospital (minimum 250 beds), level 2 or higher trauma center
  • Must have Epic electronic medical record experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required as the nurse can float to any med/surg unit on any campus in Fargo as needed
• Additional Information:
  • Candidates must have recent travel experience (preferably within the last year).
  • Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
  • Scrubs: Navy Blue.
  • The facility has a 10-bed department with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 during the day shift and 6:1 during the night shift.
  • The facilitys trauma level is 1.
  • The organization requires compliance with the clients cancellation policy, which allows cancellation up to 12 hours prior every 13 weeks.
