Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Float Position is based in Johnson City, New York. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care within a fast-paced, acute care environment. The registered nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations, and supporting patient-centered services.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week, with every other weekend scheduled.
- Required Qualifications: Nursing (RN) experience of six (6) months to three (3) years; management experience of zero (0) to three (3) years; five or more (5+) years of direct clinical experience; current NYS Registered Nurse License; BLS Certification from AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross; proficiency with EPIC electronic health records.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting; professional certification in a related nursing specialty; relevant skills certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC as required by the home unit.
- Additional Information: The position involves collaboration, communication, critical thinking, organizational understanding, planning, problem-solving, quality management, and safety practices. Must follow all facility-specific policies and procedures, including unit-specific requirements.
