Job Summary Medical Surgical Floor Nurse (MS) Nights located at a healthcare facility in West Virginia. This position involves providing nursing care to orthopedic and trauma patients, with a focus on total joint replacements and fractures. The role requires adherence to unit-specific protocols and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
Certifications: BLS Certification required.
Education Requirements: Valid RN license; willing to wait for license submission.
Years of Experience: 2 years minimum required.
Location Requirements: Candidates must have a drivers license outside of 50 miles from the facility.
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours, minimum 48 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Nursing care for orthopedic and trauma patients, including total joint replacements and fractures, with a ratio of 1:5-6 nurses, and 3 CNA's per shift with ratios of 1:7-8.
Additional Information: Must have strong orthopedic experience. Telemetry monitoring may be required; RN's do not need to read strips. On-call or standby duties are not specified. Unit includes a trauma level 1 designation, and orientation involves 1-2 shifts on the unit.
