Job Details
Position Description: Clinical Observation Unit Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) 7 patient assignments (7-7). The schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Active nursing license, at least 2 years of experience as a Medical Surgical RN, and a minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience in a Med/Surg setting. Education requirements: current nursing degree. Location requirement: work in a health care facility in the specified location.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
Additional Information: First-time travel applicants are approved for this unit through the end of January. Travel assignments can last up to 20 weeks to support unit staffing during holiday seasons. The assignment may require travel responsibility and appropriate pay differential. Candidates must work at least one major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years). Submission of work history (minimum 2 years), explanation of employment gaps over 90 days, skills checklist, and licensure documentation are required. The unit is a clinical observation area with a 1:5 or 1:6 patient ratio, and assignments may involve weekends and limited time off requests.
