Job Summary: Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing comprehensive care to adult patients within a neuro-medical surgical unit. The position requires a licensed healthcare professional capable of managing diverse clinical conditions and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Job Details:
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, willingness to complete all facility-specific education during orientation, and competency in dysrhythmia management. Candidates must have 2+ years of experience, or be recent graduates with appropriate training.
Preferred Qualifications: NIH and Swallow Screen certifications are preferred; neuro experience is ideal.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: This position involves caring for adult patients with diagnoses such as cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), transient ischemic attacks (TIA), seizures, and respiratory or urinary issues. Candidates must be available for holidays as scheduled. The unit features equipment such as Mindray vital sign machines, GE EKG, and cardiac monitors, and utilizes the EPIC electronic health record system.
