Medlivo is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Garden City, Kansas.
Minimum 2+ years recent RN experience in Med-Surg/Telemetry required / CERTIFICATIONS – BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS required / LICENSE – Active RN License required / Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hrs/week, 13 weeks (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with 6–9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; holiday rotation as needed / Setting: Acute Care – MS/Telemetry Float Pool / EMR: EPIC (Alaris experience preferred) / Skills: Strong Med-Surg/Telemetry experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, heparin drip management, neuro patient care preferred, excellent adaptability, teamwork, and ability to float across multiple acute care units including MS/Tele, PCU/Stepdown, and ICU (low-acuity holds within skillset) / Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric patients with cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, oncology, renal, urology, post-surgical, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, trauma, and general medical conditions / Ratios: 1:5–6 based on acuity / Support Staff: Designated Charge Nurse (may take a small assignment if needed), Nurse Aides, RT, and Monitor Tech support as applicable / Floating: Required throughout Zone 4 (St. Catherine Garden City, St. Catherine Dodge City, and Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital); no home base facility; assignments may be scheduled in advance or communicated 1–2 hours before shift (Just-In-Time scheduling) / Orientation: Unit-specific orientation with facility assignment provided before or on start date; clinicians must be in-state during orientation week / Additional: Travelers must be flexible with floating, weekend coverage, and holiday rotation, with strong acute care telemetry skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-facility float pool.
