Schedule & Requirements

  • Shift: 3x12-hour Nights
  • Weekend Requirement:
    • Every other weekend OR
    • Minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
  • Holiday Rotation: Required
  • Float Requirement: Yes – All Medical, Oncology, Neuro & Cardiac Units
  • Call Requirement: None
  • Block Scheduling: Not available

 

⚠️ Important Requirement (Hard Stop)

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience REQUIRED
    Profiles under 2 years will NOT be considered

 

‍⚕️ Patient Ratios

  • Days/Weekends: 1:5–6
  • Nights: 1:6
  • Daily Census: 28–50 patients (varies by unit)

 

✅ Certifications Required

  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • Telemetry & IV Start Skills – Required
  • NIHSS – Preferred

 

Core Skills Required

  • Telemetry monitoring & dysrhythmia interpretation
  • IV therapy, central & peripheral line management
  • Phlebotomy & IV starts
  • Oxygen therapy & ABG interpretation
  • Rapid response/code team participation
  • Wound care & infection control (PPE/isolation)

Additional Experience Preferred:

  • CVA / Stroke patients
  • Feeding tubes
  • HFNC
  • PCA pumps
  • Surgical drains
  • Orthopedic patients

 

Float Details

  • Float to Medical, Oncology, Neuro, and Cardiology units
  • May receive daily unit assignments via call-in system
  • Pre-assignment to a unit may occur for portions of contract

  • Ceiling lifts & lift devices (training provided)
  • Bladder scanner
  • Strong ancillary support staff available

 

Additional Details

  • Orientation: 36–40 hours (partially non-billable)
  • RTO: Max 7 days per 13-week contract
  • License: Pending MO license accepted
  • Local Radius Rule: No locals within 75 miles
  • Flu Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
  • COVID Vaccine: Not required
