GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Augusta, Georgia.
Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) in Augusta, GA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, ranging from adults to geriatrics, in a dynamic Med Surg unit.
Minimum Experience: 1 year; first-timers are accepted.
Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics.
Certifications Required: BLS.
General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Experience in Medical Surgical / Remote Telemetry with diagnoses of diabetes, med/surg, post-op, wound vacs, and bariatrics.
Ratio / Census: 1:5-6; 33 beds with an average daily census of 28.
Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR.
Scrub Color: Navy Blue.
RTO: MAX 7 days; RTO Blackout Dates: 9/7/2026.
Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified otherwise.
Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed.
Call Requirements: Every other weekend, holidays as needed, relief charge.
Holidays: If one major holiday falls in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.
Compliance: Full compliance is required to start on time; if not compliant in time, the pushback is 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.
Aya Offer Information: Once a candidate has signed and confirmation has been sent, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile/confirmation and determine if the unit/schedule/expertise fit. Aya Offer is only available if clinical pass within RTO guidelines and meets specific facility requirements.
Locals Accepted: Same rate.
Please note: The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 19 hours for a 19-week assignment).
