Job Summary: Medical Surgical Nurse specializing in Telemetry (MS TELE) is needed for a facility located in High Point, North Carolina. This role involves providing comprehensive care for general medical-surgical and post-operative patients, utilizing telemetry monitoring. The position offers an opportunity to work within a supportive team dedicated to patient care excellence.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/24/2026
Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification, at least 1 year of clinical experience in medical-surgical or telemetry units
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: General Med/Surg and floor level post-operative patients, including bariatric, trauma surgical, and orthopedic cases
Support within the Department: CNA support, charge nurse availability, telemetered monitoring, hospitalist, intensivist, and RT 24/7 support
Technology/Equipment: EMR systems (Encompass/EPIC), Baxter and Alaris IV pumps, Philips MX-40 monitors, routine lifting and vital sign equipment, wound vacs, specialty beds PRN, and CBG machines
Orientation: Two-day departmental orientation and unit-specific onboarding
Other Notes: Scrub color is royal blue; free parking available; unit culture is described as having strong leadership and work ethic; working every other weekend; no call requirement; holiday work is approximately 75% of the time.
Support Locations: Floating to sister units with similar ratios and expectations
