Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry located in a forensic unit. The position involves caring for the incarcerated population, with responsibilities including reading telemetry strips and administering medications such as heparin. The role requires compliance with specific certifications prior to start and flexibility to float within scope of practice. The assignment includes working day shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on October 5, 2026, and concluding on January 2, 2027.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, and CPI (or MAB). Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent experience within the past three years. Traveling is not required.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float within scope of practice may be required.
• Additional Information: An ideal candidate must have reliable, transparent, and consistent attendance. Must be able to work weekends and holidays (not all holidays can be requested off). Orientation is scheduled for M/S, Tele, and M/S Tele (Forensics). Facility may cancel one shift every four weeks during the contract. Compliance clearance is required 10 days prior to orientation. Candidates will be tested on arrhythmia readings and heparin distribution before assignment start, with failure resulting in contract cancellation. No holiday requests for approved time off are permitted after three callouts, and the contract will be terminated after the third callout.
