Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse position is available in Waterloo, Iowa. The role involves providing care across med-surg and telemetry units with a focus on post-operative surgical care, telemetry monitoring, and infusion management. This position requires confident EKG/ECG interpretation and experience with various drips and titrations. Schedule includes night shifts starting on 08/24/2026, with a minimum of 34.5 hours guaranteed per week.

Schedule: Nights, 11.5 hours per shift, minimum of 34.5 hours per week
Required Qualifications: 24 months of current Med Surg, Telemetry, or Med/Tele experience; Iowa or multistate active nursing license; proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system; ability to read EKG/ECG including rhythm strips and dysrhythmias; AHA/ARC ACLS and BLS certifications; 24 months of recent employment in relevant specialties; experience with infusion drips including heparin, insulin, diuretics, amiodarone, diltiazem, and 3% saline infusion; work history/resume must reflect this experience; Skills checklist specific to Med Surg or Telemetry required; Drivers license document required.
Additional Information: The position involves working on a telemetry unit that monitors patients with various infusion drips and requires quick candidate interviews via phone call or text from a 405 area code. Ancillary roles only; no local RNs within 50 miles. Must have recent post-op surgical care experience including procedures like EGD, colonoscopy, cardiac cath, pacemaker, and minor surgeries. Candidates must have completed a travel assignment within the previous 12 months. Orientation scheduled for 08/24/2026. No first-time travelers.
Float: Will float across medicalsurgical units including post-operative units.
Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) required.
Experience: 24 months of current experience in Med Surg, Telemetry, Med/Tele.
Start Date: 08/24/2026.
