Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse position in Olympia, Washington. This role involves providing care for patients on a long length of stay and acute medical surgical unit, with a focus on managing complex conditions including dementia, autism, psychosis, and other behavioral issues. The position requires flexibility to float between units as needed and supports patients with diverse diagnoses including heavy care and behavioral health.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification, 1 year of nursing experience, experience managing patients in Medical Surgical units, charting experience required with Epic electronic medical records.
• Preferred Qualifications: LTAC experience, trauma level II experience.
• Float: Will float to medical surgical units to meet department needs within scope; float is required.
• Additional Information: Role involves caring for long-term patients awaiting placement, with complex needs such as incontinence, behavioral issues, and cognitive impairments. Patients may require assistance with medications, mobility, and daily activities. The unit is equipped with lifts, mobility equipment, and supportive interdisciplinary teams to assist in patient care.
