Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Registered Nurse - Location: Community Hospital. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients within a community hospital setting. The RN will be responsible for managing patients with cardiac, neurological, and other medical conditions requiring telemetry monitoring and complex care.

Job Details

• Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS, CPI; minimum 2 years of experience, including community hospital experience; experience with MS/Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, and related specialties; an active license with pending licensing accepted.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Management of post-cardiac angiogram, post-MI, pre/post cardiac cath, neurological conditions such as CVA, and other acute care needs.
• Clinical Skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac drips, IV therapy including PICC and central lines, wound care, use of telemetry equipment, respiratory management including external CPAP/BIPAP, and emergency response via Rapid Response Teams.
• Equipment and Procedures: Chest tubes, feeding tubes, hemodialysis management, surgical drains, tracheostomy care, and telemetry monitoring.
• Additional Operational Details: Floating within scope to meet facility needs; minimum of 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week period; tolerance for float to MSI units; maximum of 7 days RTO; compliance documentation required before start date; complete all modules as per training schedule.
• Submission requirements: Submit documentation 2 Fridays prior to start date, and ensure all pre-start modules are completed by Friday before the shift.
