Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) registered nurse position is available at a healthcare organization in Newburgh, Indiana. The role involves providing care for complex Med/Surg/Tele patients, including post-cardiac caths, CVA/TIA, ICD, abdominal surgeries, oncology, and neurosurgical patients. This full-time assignment offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team in a well-equipped 32-bed unit, with consistent day shifts.

Job Details

• Shift Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS certification, NIHSS certification, and at least 2 years of strong Tele/Med/Surg experience, including one travel assignment and trauma level II experience. Recent EPIC charting experience is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: NG/PEG tubes, PIV insertion, Tikosyn management, chest tubes.
• Float: First to float within skillset; cross-campus float to other nearby facilities may be required with appropriate notice.
• Schedule: Guaranteed 36 hours weekly; additional hours are possible, with days off scheduled as per unit needs.
• Additional Information: Candidates must demonstrate strong neuro assessment skills, NIHSS/dysphagia screening, and telemetery interpretation skills, including passing tele test requirements for travelers. Unit staff is welcoming, proactive, and supportive, and scrubs are to be navy blue without competing logos.
