Job Summary:
Med Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse position in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role involves working on a 36-bed unit with a staff of 32, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and technicians. The assignments are scheduled during daytime shifts, requiring candidates to demonstrate strong clinical skills and adaptability to a fast-paced hospital environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS, Med Surg Teleexperience, and Meditech experience are required; candidate must be at least 50 miles from the facility, with a minimum of 1 year of experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Time management skills and critical thinking skills are considered advantages
• Float: Float rotation may be required to cover all Med Surg Tele floors
• Additional Information: Candidates should possess a positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and helpful nature. The role involves performing procedures such as heart caths. Must adhere to unit dress code (scrubs in Ceil Blue) and policies. On-call requirements include working every other weekend or two full weekends per month.
