Job Summary The healthcare provider is seeking a Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Registered Nurse in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced, 28-bed medical surgical unit at a Magnet designated hospital. The role offers opportunities for collaboration within a state-of-the-art environment, emphasizing evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Job Details
Location: Madison, WI
Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekend and holiday rotations based on operational needs.
Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association required), Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license.
Education & Experience: Two years of acute care experience within the last three years, including experience with Epic charting system and telemetry testing.
Responsibilities: Provide care for adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses including COPD, heart failure, HTN, DM, infections, and post-surgical recovery. Assist with advanced procedures such as wound care, medication administration, and use of medical technology like telemetry monitors and IV therapy.
Additional Details: Candidate must pass telemetry certification exam with a score of at least 80% in two attempts. Travelers are required to float as needed; local candidates are not accepted due to the 50-mile exclusion rule.
