Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry RN position located in Portland, Maine. This role involves providing inpatient care on a unit with 43 beds, handling patients with respiratory and acute medical conditions, including telemetry monitoring and ventilator management. The assignment offers a weekend schedule, with shifts primarily during nights, and requires teamwork, flexibility, and strong communication skills.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, Ventilator experience for IMC RNs, experience with tracheostomies, and ability to interpret telemetry strips. Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical surgical units, telemetry, and respiratory care.
• Float: Float rotation may be required; IMC RNs may float to other IMC levels of care units or med/surg units as needed, based on skill and unit needs.
• Additional Information: The unit utilizes equipment such as ventilators, BiPaP, CPAP, epidural pumps, IV pumps, and specialty beds. EMR system used is Epic. The position is for coverage due to staff leave, starting 10/05/2026 and ending 01/04/2027.
