Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role involves providing bedside care to adult patients with a variety of conditions, including orthopedic trauma, vascular, urology, neuro-spine, oncology, and acute medical illnesses. The position emphasizes clinical skills in telemetry monitoring, titratable drips, and patient assessments, with responsibilities tailored to shift timings and staffing requirements.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, starting on 08/17/2026
- Schedule: RN 1900-0730, with every other weekend and holiday commitments
- Location: 611 N Saint Joseph Ave, Marshfield, WI 54449
- Required Qualifications: BLS (AHA); Local candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring; ability to read telemetry strips; proficiency with titratable infusions such as Heparin, Nitro, Bivalirudin, Cardizem, and insulin.
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 for days, 1:5-6 for nights, with nursing assistants providing support during designated hours.
- Support Equipment: CPAP, BIPAP, High Flow Oxygen Therapy; no ventilators.
- Operational Notes: Charge nurses on all shifts take assignments; house supervisor available; float requirements to other adult medical-surgical units; no self-scheduling.
- Orientation: One day of computer training and 1-2 days of precepted floor orientation.
- Additional Information: The unit manages a variety of adult medical-surgical patients with telemetry needs. Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility. Prior employment with Marshfield requires an end date at least six months before submission.
