Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse, Massachusetts This facility requires a highly skilled Registered Nurse to support their medical surgical units with telemetry. The position involves rotating shifts, providing patient care across a variety of inpatient units, and working in a fast-paced, diverse healthcare environment.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Registered Nurse license, 3+ years of related work experience, CPR-AHA, ACLS-AHA, basic computer familiarity, and Epic experience required. Prior travel experience is required.
• Schedule: Rotating day/evening/night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include managing ventilators (by Respiratory Therapists or Registered Nurses responsible for nebulizers), performing unit-specific procedures such as 12 lead EKGs, Lasix infusion, blood transfusions, and telemetry monitoring.
• Orientation is weekly, every Monday barring holidays.
• Additional Unit Specific Information: The travel Registered Nurses will support 15 medical surgical units, specializing in neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, surgery, gynecology, urology, hips and joints, oncology, transplant liver and kidneys, and vascular.
• Experience in a teaching hospital, specialty area expertise, and Level I trauma experience are preferred.
• The provider does not require a set schedule but will honor requests for time off. All shifts may include weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to provide dates and times available for interview at the time of submission.
• RTO requests must be presented at time of application.
• Travelers who have worked for the healthcare provider within the last six months will not be considered unless separated from the facility for at least six months.
