Key Responsibilities of the Medical Technologist
Utilize Sysmex and CellaVision systems efficiently
Perform accurate differentials in a busy, large hospital laboratory environment
Handle complex samples including turbid specimens, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell findings
Work collaboratively in large neonatal units to ensure accurate results
Maintain a high level of competency in microbiology and laboratory operations
Requirements of the Medical Technologist
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the specialty
Certified as ASCP, AMT, or AAB
Strong microbiology experience required
Proficiency with Cerner systems
Experience in a large hospital laboratory (600+ beds) preferred
