Travel Med Surg / Post-Op / Oncology / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
Unit: 6 South – Post-Op / Oncology / Telemetry
Contract: 13 Weeks
Join a fast-paced 36-bed Med Surg/Telemetry unit caring for post-operative, oncology, and general medical patients in a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Active RN License
- BLS required
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification preferred
- Telemetry experience with the ability to read and interpret rhythm strips
- Heparin drip experience required
- Experience with chest tubes preferred
- PleurX chest tube experience is a plus
- Copy of a valid, unexpired driver's license required with submission
- Must live outside the 50-mile radius rule
Unit Highlights
- 36-bed unit
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5–6
- Patient population includes:
- General Med Surg
- Post-op General Surgery (lap chole, lap appy)
- Oncology complications
- Chest tube management
- Occasional 1:1 behavioral health patients
- Central telemetry monitoring with Phillips monitors
- RT manages CPAP and BiPAP
Assignment Details
- 12-hour day or night shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend
- Holiday rotation with permanent staff
- Float to other Med Surg/Telemetry units as needed
- Royal blue scrubs required
- No false nails permitted
