Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience, ACLS/BLS certification, and a CT or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed Medical ICU within a short-term acute care hospital
• Hospital is a Level II Trauma Center with 426 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required (1.5 years considered if Level I Trauma or prior travel experience)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience caring for ventilated patients, including HFNC and suctioning
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Knowledge of IV insulin protocols and continuous IV sedation/paralytics
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
