Express Healthcare Staffing Illinois is seeking a travel nurse RN MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois.
**Must have IL license to be considered. NO compact license!**

Required certification: ACLS, BLS (AHA)
Required skills & experience: Able to interpret EKG strips, use an arterial line and central lines, proficient in care of the ventilated patient and advanced knowledge in titrating vasopressors.
- Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours - shifts are 7p-7:30am
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend - Weekends on day shift is Saturday Sunday - Weekend nights is Friday Saturday
- Holiday Requirements: No usually depends on staffing needs at the time
Is there a call or standby requirement?: No
- Floating Requirements: Travelers float first. If the traveler floats to a lower level of care, they would take 3 patients on a stepdown unit & 4 patients in the gen med environment
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs are not provided - no specific colors required but sweatshirts are not allowed
- Unit/Department specific orientation: The traveler will receive 8 hours learning epic, etc..; then 8 hours with our educator; then shadow 4 hours; then a full 12 hours with a preceptor on the unit.
