Schedule

Day shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30). No call required. Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays.

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in Frederick, Maryland, where you will provide compassionate care in a 27-bed unit specializing in couplet care and support for postpartum, newborn, and antepartum patients. This role will also involve floating to Labor & Delivery to assist with LDRP needs, with no L&D triage or circulating responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to postpartum, newborn, and antepartum patients
• Support Labor & Delivery as needed, including antepartum and postpartum cross-training
• Conduct newborn assessments and manage couplet care
• Educate parents on care practices including circumcision care and breastfeeding support
• Monitor patient health and respond to any complications, such as postpartum hemorrhage or pregnancy-induced hypertension

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 3 years of RN experience, with acute care experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience is essential
• Active Maryland RN license or compact license at the time of submission (no exceptions)
• Current BLS certification
• C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification) required at the time of submission
• Experience in antepartum and EFM is preferred
