Job Requirements

• Active RN license in a compact state or Colorado
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of Mother/Baby, postpartum, or couplet care nursing experience
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Experience with antepartum patients and fetal monitoring preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Comfort working with high-risk postpartum and newborn populations
• Ability to float within scope to antepartum and L&D with fetal monitoring experience
• Strong clinical skills in maternal-newborn care, newborn assessment, and postpartum education

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care for postpartum patients and healthy newborns
• Support couplet care, breastfeeding education, and discharge teaching for families
• Monitor and care for high-risk postpartum and antepartum patients within scope
• Care for newborns who do not require NICU-level care
• Manage common maternal-newborn therapies and procedures, including phototherapy and IV-related infusions as needed
• Perform patient education related to newborn care, breastfeeding, safety, and recovery after delivery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support safe, high-quality patient care
• Work rotating shifts with call and weekend coverage according to unit needs
• Maintain professional communication and flexibility in a fast-paced clinical environment
