Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule

This position involves a night shift schedule comprising 3 twelve-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in maternal and newborn care, providing quality support and education to patients and families throughout the labor and delivery processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assessments and monitor fetal heart rate patterns.
  • Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections, including circulation and recovery.
  • Administer medication and IV therapies as needed.
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
  • Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Document patient care accurately and effectively in the electronic medical records system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
  • Active New York State RN License.
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate.
