Job Description

The RN in Mother Infant Care will provide comprehensive care to postpartum couplets, postpartum patients, gynecological surgery patients, and low-risk antepartum patients. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, managing IV therapy, performing blood draws, and foley catheter insertion/management/removal. The role also involves newborn assessments, conducting blood draws, administering 24-hour tests, hearing screenings, glucose management, and assessing the Eat, Sleep, and Console criteria for infants.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage care for postpartum couplets and gynecological surgery patients.
• Perform IV skills and blood draws.
• Insert, manage, and remove foley catheters.
• Conduct newborn assessments and perform related testing.
• Manage glucose levels for newborns.
• Complete Eat, Sleep, Console assessments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a mother-infant nurse.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility.
