Jackson HealthPros is thrilled to welcome an experienced MRI Technologist to our team to accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and expertly operate MRI scanners to create diagnostic images.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Magnetic Resonance (ARRT-MR) or ARMRIT certification.
- Completion of an accredited MRI program or equivalent formal training.
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required; 2 years experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrated competence in MRI patient positioning, pulse sequence parameters, magnet safety, and cross-sectional anatomy.
- Experience operating MRI workstations, PACS/RIS systems, and performing image transmission to PACS.
- Ability to prepare and administer contrast per protocol, including verification of orders, GFR/lab review, and weight-based dosing.
- Capability to follow infection control procedures, equipment cleaning, and routine quality control checks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with physicians, patients, and interdisciplinary staff.
- Must be dependable, flexible with work hours to meet department needs, and able to work independently while collaborating with team members.
- Preferred: Experience in a hospital imaging department and familiarity with Dynacad or similar MRI software.
