AlliedTravelCareers is working with Aequor to find a qualified MRI Tech in York, Maine, 03909!

York Hospital is currently seeking a Full-time, 36 hour, Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday, 12 hour shifts from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm. There might be an ask to do variable shifts do to census. Holidays a re covered by call and may be asked to assist.. Must be Influenza vaccinated as required by the State of Maine unless a Medical Exemption is provided and approved by Employee Health. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must provide care appropriate to the condition and age of patients, including geriatric, pediatric and general population. Staff is responsible for the care and safety of patients and maintaining patient confidentially at all times. Staff is responsible for communicating the mission and vision of the hospital as well as developing effective working relationships with patients, physicians and path members. Job-specific duties include, but are not limited to: Performs procedures for MRI (using and building protocols) Screens patient for any contraindications pertaining to exam and to follow any necessary Safety requirements per ACR and facility protocols Interviews patient to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures to address patient concerns and exhibits a high degree of tact, courtesy and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors Educates patient on procedures and answer any questions Ensures patient and staff safety, including explaining safety protocol, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and alerting staff of danger or carrying metal around magnet Monitors patients at all times, visually and verbally Operates other equipment necessary for daily duties and patient care Maintains a clean and orderly environment for promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers Maintains and reports on equipment status Helps monitor inventory Perform other related duties as necessary PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience: Associates Degree or Certificate from Two-year college, University, or Certificate based program. Required Licensed/Certification/Registration: ARRT registered. BCLS certification obtained within 4 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
