Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Technologist Specialty: MRI Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 10-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: No License Required for Submission Certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified MRI Technologist - ARRT (MR) Must-Have: Previous experience on GE MRI Description: Hiring Process includes a profile review with clinical staff followed by an interview with the unit manager. Candidates must submit a driver's license. Travelers must ensure they are in state for the week of orientation, even if some initial modules are remote. Agency must provide the traveler Rad Badge. The department operates one GE 1.5T scanner. No floating to other areas is required. Common types of imaging and studies performed are typical MRI tech responsibilities. Average number of scans/studies performed is approximately 30 in a 24-hour period. The department uses Epic and Synapse PACS for electronic medical records and communication. The Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech is available for support. Radiologists are both in-house and available online. IV starts are required in this department. Shifts typically follow a schedule of three 12-hour shifts starting Tuesday through Thursday. Weekend work and holiday coverage are required. Call or standby requirement typically includes one night per week and one weekend per month. Scrub color includes black pants and royal blue tops. The cancellation policy allows the facility to cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting system used is EPIC. There is no BSN requirement for submission. Trauma level and care settings are based on acute services.
