Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Evenings Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: ARRT required Certifications: BLS required; preferred MRI registry Must-Have: Excellent communication skills Excellent patient care skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Description: Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Provides essential patient care during these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety. Successful completion of an accredited Radiography program is required. A.R.R.T. registration upon hire is mandatory. Must obtain advanced A.R.R.T. registry in MRI within one year of hire. Physical demands include the ability to push/pull up to 46 lbs, carry 25 lbs, and grip up to 50 lbs. Requires climbing a step of 8-10 inches and occasional reaching forward. The position is suited for candidates who are outgoing, friendly, patient-oriented, reliable, and take pride in their work. Dress code requires black scrubs. Open-toed shoes and crocs are not acceptable attire. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including those requiring complex care.
