Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Technologist Specialty: - Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Other Hours per Shift: Mon-Thurs 1400-2300, Friday 1430-2200, Sat-Sun 0630-1830 Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience or clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of experience. License: Required certifications include ARRT and/or ARMRIT Registry through JRCERT approved education program. Certifications: Advanced certification through ARRT in ARRT-MR required within 18 months of hire. Must-Have: - Ability and demonstrated competence in IV insertion and contrast injection. - Ability to assimilate new procedures into work routine. Description: Performs MRI studies under the direction of a radiologist and oversight of a senior MRI Technologist. Interacts with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients, and visitors. Acts as a resource person for MRI technical issues and demonstrates competence according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols. Operates MRI and related equipment. Prepares scan room equipment, supplies, and medications. Maintains images and archives associated with patient data. Handles other duties as assigned.
